tmi Publications is the publishing division of Turbotech Marketing Incorporated (TMI) a family owned business located in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Initially located in Vancouver, TMI was founded in 1983 by Professional Engineer John Roper and Teacher Pamela Proctor.
When its business of turbo-machinery sales in the Western Canadian energy and transportation industries was lost to USA competitors in 1990 by the Canadian Government's implementation of NAFTA, the company developed other business in project consulting, teaching recreational boating courses www.sailcruise.net and publishing family authored manuscripts believed to be of value in contemporary society. Publishing was initiated in 2000 with a manuscript by Frank Proctor about his personal involvement in major events and social changes of the 20th century.
